It is black or brown-black powder, slightly hygroscopic. Density is 6.3-6.9g/cm3, melting point is 1326℃, insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in acid, ammonium chloride and potassium cyanide solution, slowly dissolved in ammonia solution.

Uses

Ultrafine copper oxide is mainly used in the preparation of magnetic materials.
